This is a 5Rhythms movement practice guided by the maps of Gabrielle Roth. It is not ecstatic dance, contact improvisation, or yoga. We come to dance our own experience & stay true to the form.
All bodies, identities, and backgrounds are welcome.
Listen to your body & move at your own pace.
Your breath is your fuel & your path home. Breathe.
Keep eyes open, feet grounded, and stay aware of others.
This is a drug & alcohol-free space.
No talking, no phones, no photos, no videos.
We dance barefoot or in dance shoes. Street shoes are not permitted on the floor.
Be mindful of your energy, physical space, and impact on others & the group as a whole.
Please refrain from yelling or wearing strong scents.
Partnering may arise, but the primary practice is dancing your own dance.
You are not obligated to dance with anyone; discern your own boundaries & honor the boundaries of others.
Touch without consent is never OK.
If it’s not a clear yes, it’s a no. A yes can change at any time.
The crew is here to help maintain a secure & welcoming space.
If someone appears to be at a physical or emotional extreme, please alert one of the crew members rather than attempting to address it yourself.
